Which Y2K accessories still cost under $25?

Y2K accessories are cheap in a way the clothes are not. Across eleven accessory families in a US affiliate product feed pulled on 1 September 2026, eight carry a median ask under $20 and the cheapest new listing in the whole survey is a $2.09 pack of butterfly clips. What follows is the eleven families ranked by how much of each one actually falls under $25, then eight buys with a reason attached.

Two things fall out of that table. The first is that tinted sunglasses and rhinestone belts are the only families where the median sits at or above $25, and both are carrying designer resale rows that have nothing to do with the look. The second is the seller column: most of these families are held by one or two advertisers, so a search that feels thin is a supply fact and not your search terms.

Eight buys, and why each one

Claw clips, median $12. Larger and more useful than the mini butterflies, and the same price.
Jelly shoes, median $16, but check the size field: 57 of 187 listings are children's sizes filed under the same search.
Choker necklaces, median $12, held by a single advertiser. The thinnest supply in the survey.
Arm warmers, median $15.06 across seven sellers, the widest distribution of any family here.
Bucket hats, median $19.49. The most expensive thing on this list and the only one that is also weather-proof.

What we would skip

Tinted sunglasses, at this budget. The family has a $50 median and only 46 of 165 listings fall under $25, and the cheap end is unbranded plastic that will not sit right on a face. This is the one Y2K accessory where the under-$25 tier is not worth having, and we would rather say so than pad the list to a round number.
