Is the price in a US affiliate feed actually in dollars?
Part of: For creators
Not always. We queried the affiliate network with the country filter set to the United States and still got back 320 rows priced in eleven currencies other than dollars — 4.0% of 8,087 rows.
Eight advertisers returned more than one currency inside that same US-filtered result. One returned six.
Last verified 1 September 2026 across 8,087 product rows returned by a query filtered to US advertisers.
This is a small number with a large consequence. A creator who reads the amount and skips the currency code publishes a price that is wrong by whatever the exchange rate happens to be, on a page that looks entirely authoritative.

The advertisers that mix currencies in one feed
| Advertiser | Currencies returned in a US-filtered query |
|---|---|
| Temu | AUD, CAD, COP, NZD, PEN, USD |
| VitalSource | AUD, CAD, EUR, GBP, USD, ZAR |
| REVOLVE | CNY, EUR, KRW, USD |
| HalloweenCostumes.com | AUD, CAD, USD |
| Poshmark | CAD, USD |
| Rough Trade | GBP, USD |
| Fun.com | AUD, USD |
| Desigual | CAD, USD |
The Rough Trade case is the clearest illustration and the one that nearly caught us. The same product — a record listed at 27.99 — appears twice, once in dollars and once in pounds, with the same title, the same image and the same URL. Nothing but the three-letter code distinguishes them, and at current rates the pound row is roughly a third dearer.

How to not get caught
- Read the currency field, every time. The feed returns price as an amount plus a currency. If your tooling drops the second half, your tooling is broken.
- Watch for country-suffixed advertiser names. "Madewell Australia" and "Macy’s AU | APAC" are honest about it in the name. Temu and REVOLVE are not.
- Be suspicious of duplicate rows. If two rows share a title, an image and a URL but differ in price, the difference is probably currency, not a deal.
- Do not compute statistics across mixed currencies. A median over a set that silently mixes USD, CAD and GBP is a number with no meaning. We drop every non-USD row before any figure we publish, and say so.
Frequently asked
Are all prices in a US affiliate feed in dollars?
No. A query filtered to US advertisers on 1 September 2026 returned 320 rows priced in eleven non-dollar currencies out of 8,087 rows, which is 4.0%. CAD accounted for 196 of them.
Which affiliate advertisers mix currencies?
In our pull, eight returned more than one currency inside a single US-filtered query: Temu and VitalSource in six currencies each, REVOLVE in four, HalloweenCostumes.com in three, and Poshmark, Rough Trade, Fun.com and Desigual in two.
How do I avoid publishing a wrong price from a product feed?
Read the currency code alongside the amount, treat duplicate rows that differ only in price as a currency artefact rather than a deal, and exclude non-dollar rows before computing any statistic.
Does the network convert prices for you?
Not in the product feed. The amount arrives with a currency code attached and it is the publisher's job to read both. We exclude non-dollar rows rather than converting them, because a conversion rate published today is stale tomorrow.
