How we work

Every guide on this site quotes prices, counts listings and links to retailers. This page explains where those numbers come from, who pays us, and what to do when we get something wrong.

Who writes this

The LinkToLooks identification desk. We are a small team building a product that identifies objects in photographs and finds where they are sold, and the guides are written from the same live retailer data the product runs on.

We do not claim to be stylists, collectors or reviewers. We have not worn, tested, or handled the products we write about. What we have is the data: we query retailer catalogues daily, and we can tell you what is actually listed, at what price, by how many sellers, on a stated date. Where a guide states an opinion, it is an opinion drawn from those numbers and nothing else.

Where the numbers come from

Prices and counts are computed from live retailer product feeds at the moment of the pull, and every figure carries the date it was checked. When a page says "the median was $28.99 across 199 listings on 31 August 2026", those are real listings counted that day, not an estimate and not a figure carried over from an earlier article.

Three things we do to keep that honest:

• Every priced page is dated. If a figure cannot be re-verified, it is worded as "as of" that date rather than presented as current.
• Counts are floors, not censuses. Marketplace listings duplicate heavily, and our own deduplication removes rows that are genuinely distinct. When we say a number of listings, the true number is at least that.
• We publish what we could not verify. When no listing survives checking, the page says so instead of guessing.

How affiliate links work here

Some links on this site are affiliate links: if you buy through one, the retailer may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you.

The honest state of that, today: LinkToLooks has earned $0 from affiliate links to date. No network has approved us yet. That means nothing on this site has been chosen to hit a payout, because there is no payout to hit. When that changes, this page changes with it.

What commission does not buy: placement, a better verdict, or a recommendation. If the cheapest listing is at a retailer that pays us nothing, the cheapest listing is still the one we name.

When we get it wrong

We will get things wrong. Prices move, listings are delisted, and an identification can be mistaken. If you find an error — a wrong price, a dead link, a product identified incorrectly — tell us and we will fix or remove it.

Write to privacy@linktolooks.com with the page address and what is wrong. Corrections to a live page are made the same day we confirm them.

What we do not do

• We do not publish earnings projections, for creators or for anyone.
• We do not invent creators, testimonials, quotes, follower counts or case studies. If you never see one on this site, that is why.
• We do not buy, sell or exchange links.
• We do not write reviews of products we have not handled, and we do not imply that we have.
