Is Tupperware still made?

The company that filed for bankruptcy is not the company selling it now — and the brand’s own store had more items out of stock than in, on the morning we counted.

Some links here are affiliate links — if you buy, the retailer may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. We have earned $0 from them so far. Here’s how it works.

Yes. Tupperware Brands filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on 18 September 2024, and Party Products LLC completed a purchase of the brand and certain related operations in November 2024. The brand is still selling.

What that looks like in retail on 2 September 2026: the brand’s own storefront was live with 22 US listings, of which 10 were in stock and 12 were out of stock. Macy’s carried the Tupperware Heritage line, and the largest single source of Tupperware in the whole pull was the resale market — 160 of 258 usable listings, 62%.

What actually happened to the company

Three dates matter, and conflating them is where most answers to this question go wrong.

DateEvent
14 June 2024Closure announced for the last remaining US manufacturing plant, at Hemingway, South Carolina, with production moving to Mexico
18 September 2024Tupperware Brands files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection
November 2024Party Products LLC completes the purchase of the brand and certain related operations
January 2025Completion date given for the Hemingway plant closure

Dates from the published company history, read 2 September 2026.

So “Tupperware went bankrupt” and “Tupperware is gone” are different claims and only the first is true. A Chapter 11 filing followed by a sale of the brand is a change of owner, not an end of production.

We counted rather than assumed. Here is every route to new Tupperware we could see live in US retail on 2 September 2026.

The out-of-stock share on the brand’s own store is the number worth carrying away. Twelve of 22 listings unavailable is not a healthy shelf, and it is the most honest available signal about how the range is being run under new ownership. It is one snapshot on one morning, not a trend, and we will say so before anyone else does.

What happened to the parties

The direct-sales model that made the brand is not what it was. Our reference records that in June 2023 Tupperware stopped supplying an independent sales force in the UK and Ireland and moved to online and television shopping channels.

For a US buyer in 2026 the practical consequence is that you no longer need to know a consultant. The routes above are ordinary retail routes.

What we could not establish. How Party Products LLC operates the brand today — which lines are in production, where they are made now, and whether the US distribution above is the whole picture. The reference we read follows the corporate events, not the current operating model. For that, the brand’s own site is the source, not us.

Two things that are not Tupperware

Both of these came back inside our own search this morning, and both will confuse a price check.

How this guide was made. We research and draft these guides with AI, then a person checks every price, link and factual claim against the source before it publishes. We work this way because it lets us re-verify prices across hundreds of guides in a day, which is what keeps the numbers here current; it does not decide what we recommend. Anything we could not verify is labelled as unverified rather than filled in.
