Which affiliate programmes actually carry Y2K fashion?

The honest headline first: if you make Y2K fashion content, the affiliate market you can actually link to is one marketplace. Across 2129 deduplicated Y2K fashion and accessory listings from US advertisers on 1 September 2026, 96 percent sit with a single peer-to-peer marketplace. The other 18 advertisers share what is left.

Where the inventory actually is

AdvertiserListingsShareWhat they hold
Poshmark205096%Everything: tracksuits, clips, tees, jellies, belts, hats. One-of-one resale stock
Hot Topic271%New Y2K-styled apparel and licensed accessories
Woot!100%Discounted overstock, mostly bags and small accessories
REVOLVE80%Contemporary designer pieces styled Y2K, not period stock
Hobby Lobby60%Craft-aisle hair accessories, the cheapest new stock in the survey
Wayfair North America60%Y2K-print homeware, not clothing
Madewell US40%Baby tees and small leather goods
Moda Operandi40%Designer jelly and platform footwear
J.Crew Factory20%Hair accessories

The strategic consequence is the part worth planning around. A one-of-one resale marketplace is not a catalogue you can build evergreen product pages on: the exact listing you link to today is gone in a fortnight, and the link goes with it. Content built on that inventory has to be written about categories, prices and identification rather than about individual items.

Navy Juicy Couture velour tracksuit jacket and trousers with gold Juicy lettering, laid flat
A $20 tracksuit listing. Cheap, real, and gone the moment somebody buys it - which is the whole problem with linking to one-of-one stock.

Branded accessories are the exception: enough near-identical listings exist that a dead link can be replaced with an equivalent one.

What we would apply to, in order, and why

  1. The dominant resale marketplace, because refusing it means refusing 96 percent of the inventory. Accept up front that the links are perishable and design the content around that.
  2. Mall and alternative-fashion retailers such as Hot Topic, because they carry new Y2K-styled stock with stable catalogue URLs. This is where evergreen product pages are possible.
  3. Craft and general retailers for accessories. The cheapest new stock in this whole survey is a $2.09 hair-clip pack from a craft retailer, and craft catalogues are stable.
  4. Contemporary designers styled Y2K, last. Their stock answers a different query than the one your audience is searching.

What this page will not tell you

Commission rates. We are joined to no affiliate programme, we cannot read any programme's terms, and copying rates out of another blog would be publishing a number we have not verified. Every figure above is a count we computed ourselves from a feed we pulled. When we are approved somewhere and can read the terms, we will publish them and say where they came from.

Honest empty: eBay, Etsy, Mercari, Depop and Vinted are not in this feed at all, and they are large parts of the real second-hand Y2K market. The percentages above describe one affiliate network's US catalogue, not the market.

Last verified 1 September 2026, computed from 2129 deduplicated Y2K listings across 19 US advertisers in an affiliate product feed pulled the same day. Price figures are computed from a CJ Affiliate product-feed pull of US advertisers made on 1 September 2026. Peer-to-peer marketplace asks of $500 or more are excluded as seller placeholders, as are repdigit asks such as $999 and $9,999 wherever they appear; retailer prices are used as published. Counts are deduplicated row counts, never a feed totalCount.

Some links here are affiliate links. LinkToLooks has earned $0 from them to date — no network has approved us yet — so nothing on this page is picked to hit a payout.

Frequently asked

Which affiliate programmes carry Y2K fashion?

In a US affiliate feed pulled on 1 September 2026, 19 advertisers carried Y2K fashion or accessories, but one peer-to-peer marketplace held 96 percent of the 2,129 listings.

Can you build evergreen affiliate pages on resale inventory?

Not on individual listings. One-of-one stock sells and the link dies with it, so pages have to be built around categories, prices and identification rather than specific items.

What commission do Y2K fashion programmes pay?

We do not publish commission rates. We are joined to no programme and cannot read any programme's terms, so any rate here would be copied rather than verified.

Which retailers sell new Y2K accessories?

Mall and alternative-fashion retailers such as Hot Topic, craft retailers such as Hobby Lobby, and general discounters. Craft retailers carried the cheapest new stock in this survey at $2.09.
